Comfort and Adam are an award-nominated wife and husband creative duo. They are both writers, illustrators, letterers, and designers and each step of their process is shared equally between them. Comfort and Adam made their name as professional self-publishers with their acclaimed comic series The Uniques and Rainbow in the Dark. They also wrote a massive how-to book for Random House called The Complete Guide to Self-Publishing Comics, as well as the webcomic miniseries Kitty Game (with artist Corinne Roberts). Their work can be found on Webtoon, where they’ve been read by millions.
In 2023, they were joined by their partner in love and art, Theodora Marron. The three best friends now live and work together as a triad, and Theo's own extensive skills have become the perfect addition to their creative endeavors. Comfort and Adam had felt lucky enough to have found such perfect partners in each other - now the triad are finding that three really is a magic number.
The newly formed trio are featured guests of comic and anime conventions from coast to coast. They are also motivational speakers and educators. They still find time occasionally to take client work in writing and illustration. They believe in the philosophy that great stories and art can be both fun and challenging, and you don’t have to choose between entertaining an audience and making them think. In their work, they always seek to do both.
Comfort, Adam and Theo live in Grand Rapids, MI with their four elderly cats. When they’re not working, they can frequently be seen walking up and down the trail behind their house talking about stories.
